The project involved reorganisation and refurbishment of an existent house. There were many constraints to this project which led to an interesting and creative outcome. The addition was of a residence level, a basement and a swimming pool.

The challenge was building the additional spaces along side the existing annex, as well as the insertion of the new materials in order to enhance the original features in a complimenting manner.

A special focus was set on the main living space of the house, the kitchen and dining area. As this family is big, Dana's desire was to create a warm and vivacious space.

A large wooden oak island was designed in the center of the open space, connecting the dining area and the living room.

This eclectic house combines black steel beams added to reinforce the residential floor with white wooden ceiling in the dining area and the bedrooms. The basement functions as an independent unit with a family room and a bedroom with an unsuite bathroom.
